We're reimagining ECE photography to make it a seamless and enjoyable experience for kaiako, tamariki and whanau alike.
Nowhere but you. Unlike share galleries or folders, our system is a closed loop and private to each individual family. Images are uploaded to a secure, encrypted server and are only accessible to parents who have the login and password for their account.
We take data sovereignty seriously; images of your children are never used for marketing without your explicit, separate written permission.
After the advised archiving date, the images of the child are digitally destroyed.
Absolutely. Every Whippersnappers photographer is police-vetted and professionally trained. They are experts in silliness—ensuring a safe, fun, and respectful environment for your little ones while getting the genuine smiles going.
We believe you should hold the keys. Before photo day, you'll receive a secure invitation to create a Whippersnappers account with access to your Permission Dashboard. Here, you can grant or withhold consent for individual portraits, first friends photos, and the Group shot.
If you don’t give the green light via the dashboard, no photos are taken. It puts full control firmly in your hands and saves a tonne of admin on the day.
Our team are experts at photographing children of all ages, from newborn and beyond. Our wonderfully supportive Whippersnappers chair is suitable for gorgeous portraits of all. We don't stop at headshots, your small baby will also be photographed playing and enjoying their ECE environment.
We've made it simple — each photo is $30.
That includes the digital file AND a 5x7" glossy print, delivered to your ECE Centre.
There's no obligation to buy and no wacky bundles that'd leave you feeling guilty for not having a use for 10 passport photos and 5 bookmarks.
You'll receive an online gallery of up to 5 images from the session, you can choose which ones you need up on the fridge and your mobile home screen, and which ones can be left on the cutting room floor.
Each Centre has specific rules they're obliged to follow. We'll let you know if Sibling Shots and/or Parent Shots are on offer at your Centre in the Permission Dashboard.
For those opted in, additional attendees will need full supervision from their caregiver during their visit.
We'll work with each ECE Centre to ensure we can work around rostered days off. So even if it's not your usual day at your Centre, you'll still have the oportunity to be included.

Our priceless first friends portraits are taken if all parents involved grant permission before the shoot. Have a korero with your parent-friends and toggle-on 'first friends' in your settings to make these shots happen.
Our reimagined group shots are stunning! They present the best shot of everyone - looking in the right direction - giving it their best - every time.
Group shots are available as a laminated A4 or a novel A3 poster print that kids love to hang on their bedroom wall.
